Diversified Tag & Title Services is focused on helping all of our in-state and out-of-state dealers with the always changing, very frustrating, quite confusing rules and regulations of both the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration [MVA] and Pennsylvania’s Department of Motor Vehicles [PennDOT].
DEALER SERVICES
- Dealers may process both their Maryland and Pennsylvania tag & title transactions on-site
- Dealers have direct access to the title clerks for questions and/or concerns
- Dealers may mail their transactions or drop them off.
- If there are any problems, the dealer is emailed immediately to resolve the issue
- Dealers are emailed when the transactions are completed
- Tags may be mailed directly to your customer, picked up or sent back to the dealership
- Problem free standard turn-around is 3-4 business out the door OR
- Rush turn-around time is 1-2 business days out the door
- Always available for pick-up when complete

MD DEALERS
Our team here at Diversified Tag & Title Services work very hard to reduce the turnaround time for processing tags, titles and registrations for our dealerships and their customers. Additionally, we have streamlined the process to both save money and increase customer satisfaction at the same time. Please take a moment to review these guidelines to see how we do it.
Our team works directly with dealerships and lenders, and we specialize in motor vehicle and/or trailer registration and titling. We ensure all documents are completed accurately and efficiently to reduce costly mistakes that may delay the dealer’s sales process.
We provide our dealers with a checklist to attach to each deal to ensure that their customers receive what they have asked for and what they need. This also ensures that the title clerk at the dealership will provide us with everything required by the MVA to process the customers’ deal successfully the first time as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
The power of attorney provided allows a customer to authorize a dealership, the dealerships representative, or other designated parties to complete specific title and registration transactions on their behalf. It is commonly used when additional authorization is needed to process paperwork and obtain documents from the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration.
The application for certificate of title is used to transfer ownership to get a new title in the new owner’s name and to register the motor vehicle and/or trailer in Maryland. It provides the MVA with all of the ownership information, vehicle information, lienholder information, insurance and registration information. If it is a Maryland title, there is a place on the back where it can be used in place of the VR-005 application for title.

PennDOT requires that the VIN of a motor vehicle and/or trailer must be properly verified before they can be processes to transfer ownership and be registered. The MV-41 is the form used to make corrections [if needed] and verify the VIN.
